How to Use This Site to Save Money
HaveYouGot is a website dedicated to helping local people save and earn money. You can save money through this site by hiring items from your neighbours and other local people. This will save you money on regular high street hire charges or even having to buy the item yourself.
Most people have various items around the house they bought for a specific purpose and very rarely use. They register their items on this website which will allow you to hire it from them. By entering your post code and search words you can find out if anyone local to you has the item you wish to hire. Entering no search words lists all items available in your area. Like any hire shop the items specify a deposit and a daily rate, but the rates will be significantly cheaper than high street hire shops. This is because your neighbours don't have the overheads of the hire shops and are hiring their items to earn a bit of cash for themselves.
When you have found an item you are interested in click on it's title. This will display an approximate location map of where the owner lives. You are also given the opportunity to contact the owner. Enter your email address and click the Contact button and an email is immediately sent to the owner. They will then contact you to arrange the hire.
Items are not limited to just tools. Anything can be registered by your neighbours and hired out to you. Party items, workshops, costume jewellery and you could even use it as a 'try before you buy'.
